We hope you and yours are healthy and doing well considering the uncertainty during this unprecedented time in global history and industry.
Having said that we thought a post would be a good idea to let you know that our standard practices since 1996 and to this day, naturally follow the guidelines for ‘social distancing’ that are currently being recommended. Fortunately, nothing has changed on how we can continue to support you/your design team, while keeping your projects on track.
On a daily bases, all our communication with customers is by phone, email or via our website. 3D printing machines are the key component of our staff, executing the brunt of the work. Parts are either shipped with couriers or available for pick-up in our physical mailbox. And of course, emails and phone calls walking you through the stages of your order from quote to completion to ensure your requirements are met will still be executed to our usual high standards.
What you may not know is that it’s also standard practice for our small team of technicians (now only one tech in the shop each day) to wear their own assigned ventilator suit with HVAC units and gloves during build removals and cleaning for their own personal safety. What you likely already do know, as our parts are nylon 12 they can also be washed with hot water and soap, washed in a dishwasher and can also go through sterilization processes. In fact, I have several of our 3d printed parts (over 18 years old) that I have shown and washed after every meeting and trade show without issue. Our support staff are able to work remotely and as a result are not in the shop at this time.
What this means to you?
Although you may not find it to be business as usual, the great news is that our 3d printing services can support and allow you to continue designing and executing your projects whether you work from home or the office. We can communicate as we always do and help keep you from falling behind or playing catch-up later. We can ship directly to your home or office — just let us know where it should go. We can also hold your order if need be and ship when you know when you are planning on being in the office next.
Please note timing for delivery could be altered from our regular schedules as the world is literally changing every day, but we’ll keep the lines of communication open and do our usual best to meet your needs.
Even though it’s unclear at this time when things will get back to normal, eventually business will ramp up again and we can help keep you on target.
All the best to you, your family and team, with the hopes of good health and quick resolve soon.
