Star Trek fans rejoice, as after much anticipation the Bluetooth Star Trek Communicator has arrived!
Here’s the story… Just before Christmas I pre-ordered the new Star Trek Bluetooth communicator as a gift and needed to wrap something in place (as a photo is kinda lame).
Being in the 3d printing business, I approached one of our techs and a week later I ended up with the coolest 3d printed part ever! He had drawn it up in CAD and 3d printed his own version of the Star Trek communicator!
On the left is our SLS nylon rapid prototype. On the right is the final product. Minus a bit of paint, pretty close right?!
