Here’s What Our Customers Have To Say About 3D Prototype Design:

*Please Note: Our client list is confidential. As we respect that many of our clients are in highly competitive markets, we have with held their full names, company names, and positions.

“… I will begin pouring the silicone into the 3d printed SLS molds and forwarding you some great photos showing off your great work and the finish on the black qp 10 parts is the best I have ever seen. Are you using a new process to get them so smooth? They look great, I will be extremely careful to insure they keep smooth during our exciting build.”

Scott M. La Jolla, CA USA

“Wanted to drop you a note and Thank you for providing GREAT service.. the part you manufactured for us worked perfectly.. you supplied at the expected cost and on-time… great job…”

Peter B., Stratford, ON

“Just a quick follow up to say that the foils you printed for me worked great. We’re actually going to take them down to the Gulf of Mexico in a few weeks and test them out in some real water!”

Dan M., Woodstock ON

“Perhaps this is something you can use for your marketing or whatnot. The left is the piece we received from you. The right is the same part we received from a competitor before we started working with you. You can see the spot for the label never really came out on the right side and the finish is significantly better on the ones we got from you.. All this is to say that you guys are awesome.”

Yulong L., Nova Scotia

“All I can say first is WOW!! Very Professionally Done! Excellent replication to the CAD Design! Unbelievable Service! Very Reasonable Costs! But Most Importantly – They All Work, Fit and Function Fantastically! All-In-All we are Very Happy, Very Impressed and Very Pleased!!”

Mike K., Dayton, OH

“We just received the prints, they look and function perfectly! Thank you very much, we are very happy with the results.”

James F, Mississauga, ON

“You guys really make things happen — your parts are very good and reliable for our customer to review. 3D Prototype does help us to remain in a forward motion at a quicker pace.”

“They look good. Thanks for the check up, and I’ll have another part that you can give me an estimate on.”

What do I need to make a 3D printed part?

In order to quote or make a 3D printed part, you need to have a 3D CAD file drawing created. We do not offer drawing or scanning services. If you don’t have a CAD drawing of your part you should find a mechanical engineer/design to draw your part. See what is 3d printing.

We’ve built parts for as low as $3 per piece and up, when building multiples. However, each case is unique and dependent on several factors such as: size, area, volume, material used, time to build, commitment to area taken up, labor and what else we can build with it. Our minimum charge is $100.
We don’t like to ballpark pricing unless it’s coming from an existing customer. A guess can sometimes be made, however, you will need a CAD file to move forward and it’s very likely the cost of hiring someone to do the drawing may very well be more than your prototype. Asking how much something the size of a mug or computer mouse will cost rarely offers any value. Start by looking at the cost to get your CAD drawing first to see if that’s cost prohibitive for you.
Hire a mechanical engineer or mechanical designer as they can create 3D CAD drawings. In addition, their education and experience will be valuable later should you manufacture your parts.

We sure can. Whether is a scaled down model for a trade show or for a sales meeting, our 3d printed models can’t be beat! There are some very important things you should quick read first though to better understand what you need to know about 3d printing and your scaled down model.
