In Memory of Alex “aullicks” Sirman — May The Force Be With You

It was with great honour and privilege that we were able to be a part of Alex’s memorial and create this 3d printed Lego-like urn with a Star Wars feel. As you read more below from a letter we received from Alex’s Mom, you’ll see why this has extra special meaning. We’d also like to invite you to learn a bit about him, and then visit the link to support Alex’s final and very impressive achievement.

3D Printed Lego Urn — Star Wars Inspired

Here’s how the letter read:

“A few weeks ago we were faced with every parent’s worst nightmare in having to make arrangements for the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved son Alex. As we were brainstorming and googling ideas that would be truly representative of our 19 year old Star Wars Lego Master, we came across the image of the urn that you had previously made and knew right away that this was it. I reached out in the hopes that Alex’s story would resonate with you and that you would take on this special request. We were completely overwhelmed with the compassion, care and quality that you provided through the entire process. Thank you for listening to my stories about Alex as we worked through all of the details for the build. With each story, you added more elements of Alex to the creation of the urn and the end result is beyond what we were expecting. It is evident that this was a labour of love and compassion and we are forever grateful for your part in honouring Alex.

I hope that you don’t have to make any more of these but if you do, I am sure the grieving families will be completely satisfied with the final product.

A little about Alex

Alex spent an inordinate amount of time working on his Lego builds and just recently started to sell some of his plans. Just a couple of months ago, he was excited to tell us that Brick Vault was interested in marketing one of his builds, this was big news! It just so happened that on the day he left us was the day he received confirmation and the contract from Brick Vault. He was actually teaching himself cursive so that he could sign the contract, unfortunately, he did not get a chance to.

To honour Alex’s legacy, we wanted to make sure that his build was still made available and worked together with Brick Vault to make it happen. All proceeds from the sale of these plans will go to SUDEP Aware ? so please share with all of your Lego building friends.

Thank you again for all of your help.

Warmest regards,

Kris”
